Lisa Churchill is a solicitor with over 8 years’ experience in family law.
Prior to becoming a solicitor, Lisa worked as a paralegal with Miller Sands and trained as a solicitor through them. Lisa understands that family law is a constantly evolving area of law and she appreciates seeing the difference she can help her clients make in their lives.
Lisa has extensive experience in all aspects of family law ranging from contentious child arrangements proceedings, injunctions and matrimonial finances. Lisa has experience in both complex matrimonial finances with business and overseas assets to smaller asset cases where needs are the primary consideration. Lisa also has previous experience in issues relating to surrogacy.
Lisa is an active member of Resolution and has previously been the YRES Chair for Cambridge. Lisa is also working towards Resolution accreditation.
She advises on all family law matters arising out of the union or breakup of relationships including:
- Drafting of Pre and Post-Nuptial Agreements
- Cohabitation Agreements
- Separation Deeds
- Divorce or Civil Partnership dissolution
- Financial claims after a relationship breakdown
- Children’s arrangements
- Injunctive relief
Lisa puts the client’s needs first in all cases and believes that it is important that they are fully involved in each step of the process. She attempts to deal with matters as reasonably as possible and believes that it is important to fully support the client and direct them to any appropriate services to ensure that the stress of any matters are minimised. She believes that the client should be informed in a clear manner to ensure that they are able to make any decisions with all the information they need.
In dealing with cases, Lisa takes a pragmatic approach and guides her client to the best solution in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
In the event that litigation is necessary, Lisa is a strong advocate and where she cannot undertake the advocacy herself will source the best representation for her client.
Outside of work Lisa is constantly trying to improve her Italian and enjoys cooking, baking and reading.
