Claire Tollefson
Associate Director and Team Leader

As an Associate Director and Team Leader at Fullers Family Law, my role is to utilise over 15 years of experience to support my clients in a range of Family Law matters.

After working for a well-known regional legal practice, I decided to move to a specialist family law firm and joined Fullers Family Law in September 2023.

My legal expertise centres around relationship planning and breakdown. I have a keen focus on helping clients with pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, with a primary aim of preserving and protecting family assets and wealth. I specialise in advising clients on all aspects of divorce and separation, including complex ancillary issues, often involving children.

My extensive experience also extends to matters involving complex pension arrangements, intricate company structures, trust arrangements, inherited assets, and those with an international element.

I have a particular specialism for assisting high-net-worth clients, dealing with agricultural estates and preserving generational wealth, whether through divorce or by way of a nuptial agreement. Additionally, I am well-versed in pursuing financial claims in England and Wales following an overseas divorce.

I also bring a wealth of expertise to complex children matters, including those with serious allegations of harm or parental alienation, as well as cases involving in-country and international relocation.
Throughout my career, I have helped a wide range of clients, including professionals from the police, NHS, farming and aviation sectors.

I approach matters in a constructive, pragmatic and conciliatory way, always striving for out-of-court resolutions to disputes whenever possible. I understand the stress associated with seeking legal advice in family matters, and therefore I tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs and goals.

As a trusted advisor, I work collaboratively with my clients to achieve the best possible outcomes for their specific circumstances. I am committed to providing reasoned advice and family-led solutions, supporting my clients every step of the way.

As a member of Resolution, I am proud to be part of an organisation dedicated to promoting a constructive approach to family issues that considers the needs of the entire family, thereby reducing conflict.

“Found Fullers through a Google search and from the first call I knew they were the right choice. Everything was explained clearly so I knew where I stood in my situation. It was easy to make an appointment, an online zoom meeting, which suited me perfectly and wasn’t expensive in real terms for the advice I got. Would recommend.”
