Thinking of Divorcing?

 September 2018 |  Anjani Fatania

What should you think about when you have decided to divorce from your partner?

Divorce can be overwhelming and below are some tips of what you should consider when taking this step:-

  1. You need to start considering which aspects of your life you still share with your partner. This can be the children and /or finances.
  2. Try and communicate with your partner about reaching an agreement on children and finances.
  3. If communicating directly with your partner is not the way forward, consider attempting mediation.
  4. If mediation fails, you can get solicitors involved to try to assist you. You may at this stage need to issue a court application to resolve and conclude matters.

Once this is in hand, you will find that your divorce process is a lot easier to finalise!
