I am a family law solicitor with 27 years’ experience, specialising exclusively in family law, with particular expertise in financial disputes and cases concerning children. During my career I have led a 21-strong family department and developed extensive experience of complex and sensitive cases.

I take a robust, compassionate and intelligent approach to my work. I believe clients need clear, strategic and realistic advice, but also someone who takes the time to understand what really matters to them. I pride myself on being approachable and friendly, while being prepared to give direct and honest advice when that is what a client needs.

Having led a large department for many years, I have greatly enjoyed supporting and developing other lawyers and building a strong team. However, the part of being a solicitor I have always found most rewarding is working directly with clients. I enjoy getting to know people, understanding their individual circumstances and helping them work out the best way forward. That relationship remains at the heart of my practice.

I enjoy the intellectual challenge of difficult cases and am not afraid of robustly pursuing a client’s interests where necessary. Equally, I believe good family law requires judgement: knowing when to fight, when to negotiate and when a different approach is likely to achieve a better outcome.

As Director of Legal Practice, I am responsible for developing Fullers’ presence in Norwich. I am excited to build a practice which combines first-class legal expertise with excellent, personal client care, and to create a team which shares those values.

I studied English Literature and History at York University before studying postgraduate law at the University of Nottingham and the College of Law in London.  Outside work, I enjoy art, literature and travel, am involved in local charity work, have a very active social life and love to spend time with my three children.
